Job description :

The Vice President of Sales is a key member of the management team for this company. He/she will be responsible for developing and implementing the national sales strategy to maximize the company's market share, sales and profitability. This role requires strong leadership, excellent knowledge of the food products sector, and the ability to lead and motivate high-performing sales teams.

Main responsibilities 

Sales strategy

  • Develop and execute sales strategy, aligned with overall company objectives.
  • Analyze the market and identify growth opportunities.
  • Work closely with marketing, supply chain and finance to ensure integration of sales strategy.

Key account management

  • Strengthen and maintain relationships with key national accounts (superstores, grocery chains, etc.).
  • Negotiate sales contracts and long-term business agreements.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and work to build loyalty and develop new partnerships.

Team leadership 

  • Lead and develop a national sales team, including performance management, coaching and skills development.
  • Promote a culture of high performance and commitment within the team.
  • Set clear and measurable sales objectives for the team and monitor their achievement.

Performance monitoring

  • Monitor and analyze sales results, market trends, and competitor performance to adjust action plans accordingly.
  • Prepare regular reports for management on sales performance and financial projections.

Innovation and product development

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to support new product launches and innovation.
  • Propose go-to-market strategies to promote new products.

Skills and qualifications :

  • University degree in business administration, marketing or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in a sales management position, preferably in the CPG sector, with a strong knowledge of the Canadian market.
  • Proven experience in key customer management and commercial negotiations with retail chains.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing sales teams and achieving ambitious goals.
  • Analytical and strategic skills to quickly adapt plans to market needs.
  • Bilingual (French and English).
