Our client is a property management company that focuses on excellence in residential and commercial property management. From leasing new space to maintaining existing space.

Responsibilities of the HR Manager:

  • Supervise and advise members of the management team.
  • Collaborate actively with the department manager and other team members.
  • Develop and integrate HR policies and procedures.
  • Be proactive in talent acquisition, development and retention.
  • Oversee the recruitment and hiring process.
  • Ensure that all HR activities comply with Canadian legal requirements.
  • Advise on total employee compensation.
  • Establish and manage benefit programs.
  • Manage relations with various government entities related to human resources.
  • Evaluate and improve performance management systems.
  • Provide guidance and advice on employee relations, performance and dismissals.
  • Participate in succession planning.
  • Identify employee needs.
  • Develop and manage training programs.
  • Provide advice to the Human Resources Department.
  • Harmonize policies and procedures across Canadian sites.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation.
  • Ensure pay equity at all levels of the organization.
  • Develop the right human resources strategies, aligned with corporate objectives, to accelerate business growth.
  • Support the company's strategic objectives.
  • Maintain regular contact with the Group's international counterparts.

Skills and qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management or other relevant field.
  • Member of the CHRP association.
  • 7 to 10 years' experience, including team management.
  • Previous experience as a human resources director or manager.
  • Fluent written and spoken French and English.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of Canadian labour regulations (provincial and federal).
  • Comprehensive understanding of the best human resources policies, practices and procedures.
  • Experience in reporting and data analysis.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Dedication to ethics.
  • Flexibility, responsiveness to change and adaptability.
  • Positive approach and can-do attitude.
  • Responsible, he/she takes responsibility for completing tasks and ensuring follow-up.
  • Versatility and ability to remain calm during busy periods.
  • Good attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
