Global Supply Chain Director

Job description :

The Global Supply Chain Director oversees and optimizes all supply chain functions for the various entities of the group. They will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative purchasing strategies, managing relationships with key suppliers, and optimizing costs while maintaining the quality and reliability of the supply chain. They are a key advisor to the senior management team on all purchasing matters. They establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to help ensure the strategic procurement of all necessary goods.

Main responsabilities:

  • Develop and implement long-term purchasing strategies aligned with company objectives;
  • Manage a team of buyers and procurement specialists;
  • Negotiate complex contracts with strategic suppliers;
  • Analyze market trends and anticipate fluctuations in raw material prices;
  • Optimize purchasing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs;
  • Collaborate with other departments to align purchasing strategies with company needs;
  • Establish and monitor performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate purchasing effectiveness;
  • Ensure compliance with ethical standards and current regulations;
  • Manage supply chain risks and develop contingency plans;
  • Meet with suppliers and key stakeholders, international travel will be required (10%).

Skills and qualifications :

  • University degree in business management, supply chain, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, including at least 5 years in a managerial position
  • Excellent mastery of negotiation and contract management techniques
  • Aptitude in networking, influencing, and creating business relationships and partnerships
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions
  • In-depth knowledge of best practices in procurement and supply chain management
  • Experience using ERP systems and spend analysis tools
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written
  • Professional certification in procurement (e.g., CPSM, CPM)
  • Experience in an international environment
  • Willingness to travel internationally
  • Knowledge of the company’s industry sector
  • Proficiency in a third language
