Job description :
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer is responsible for the overall direction and operations of the Company through the establishment of strategic objectives, the definition of the organization's journey, the achievement of these objectives by through the management team and establish key indicators of organizational performance.
Essential functions
Strategic Leadership
• Develop and maintain a high-performance innovative culture focused on creating value for clients and shareholders and the region.
• Keeping abreast of customer needs and industry trends to inform the company's strategic direction and marketed products;
• Lead strategic and annual planning processes and produce operational plans, budgets and capital allocation requests for approval by the Board of Directors;
• Lead the execution of strategic business plans;
• Evaluate research and development opportunities and prioritize activities;
• Evaluate, monitor and evaluate key factors in the value of the company and the financial performance of the company;
• Ensure the development of a high-performance talent pool capable of meeting the short, medium and long-term needs of a growth-oriented consumer products company.
Turnover and business development
• Represent and promote the brand of the Company in a positive way, in harmony with the values stated in all internal and external relations;
• Actively identify opportunities for economic and commercial development while making a strategic contribution. Act as a key negotiator in strategic initiatives;
• Understand client contracts and ensure compliance with all contractual clauses;
• Ensure that products and services are provided in a manner that promotes a high level of customer satisfaction;
Organization
• Develop and maintain an appropriate organizational structure that effectively meets the needs of the business.
• Build, maintain, evaluate and develop a management team that can do the job and get the results.
Financial direction
• Maximize financial profitability and minimize the company's working capital requirements, ensuring that the cost structure and capital structure are appropriate;
• Development of annual budgets for board approval and update of budgets throughout the year;
• Protect the assets and resources of the company through proactive risk management;
Board of Directors and Governance
• Work with board members to ensure appropriate governance and oversight;
• Ensure that a transparent and "no surprises" approach is adopted in all dealings with the Board;
• Actively seek the advice, advice and opinions of board members;
• Compliance Management.
Skills and qualifications :
Education and / or experience
• Baccalaureate required; Business administration preferable;
• Master of Business Administration considered an asset.
• Experience and knowledge in Services, Heavy Industries, Railways and / or Mining companies.
• Proven performance management across all operational functions;
• Extensive experience in roles with full responsibility for results;
• Value creation history for shareholders through profitable organic growth.
• Strong organizational development experience of employees
Specific skills
Business acumen - Knowledge of trends, practices and policies affecting the sector and businesses.
• Client Orientation - Ability to fully understand clients' needs, preferences, interests, timelines and decision criteria to meet these needs and ensure profitable success for both the company and the client;
Strong financial sense - with a deep understanding of the key leverage points in the income statement and balance sheet, as well as key aspects to ensure short-term cash flow and long-term profitability
Flexibility and management risks - Ability to accept ambiguity and uncertainty, cope with change, take it and use it for the benefit of society;
Leadership skills - Ability to act as a role model, to positively influence others and to enhance their ability to contribute to the organization's goals;
Strategic thinking - Provide a holistic and systematic perspective on strategic issues and use them to articulate.
