Job description :

As the Vice President , People and Culture, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of human resources and cultural initiatives. Reporting to the CEO, you will play a key role in defining the organization's culture and implementing initiatives aimed at supporting employee engagement, retention, and development. The company is a rapidly growing SME with several hundred employees and operations across Canada and North America.

Main Responsibilities

HR Structure Development: Design, develop, and implement an effective and scalable HR structure, considering the specific needs of the company and its growth.

Performance Management: Design and implement performance management systems and processes to evaluate, track, and develop employee skills and contributions, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Talent Management: Establish a talent acquisition structure to identify, recruit, and retain top talent to meet the current and future needs of the company.

Payroll and Benefits Management: Oversee the team responsible for payroll, benefits, and retirement plans.

Team Leadership: Mentor, motivate, and develop a high-performing HR team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Be a part of the company's executive committee.

Skills and qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field.
  • 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in a senior HR role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in creating and successfully managing HR structures.
  • Proven high-level strategic planning skills.
  • Agile and comfortable in a fast-growing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws and employment regulations, particularly in Canada (Quebec and British Columbia) and the United States, especially California.
  • Open to travel across North America.
