Our customer is an innovative company specializing in the design, marketing and implementation of wind energy solutions. It is recognized for its small and medium-sized wind turbines, operating in distributed mode, offering sustainable and cost-effective solutions to meet the energy needs of businesses in the agricultural, commercial and industrial sectors.

As General Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic direction in conjunction with the President and CEO, operational management and overall leadership of the company. This key role aims to ensure the sustainable growth, profitability and technological development of the company, aligning corporate objectives with market trends and customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the company's vision, mission and strategic objectives.
  • Oversee short- and long-term business plans in alignment with overall objectives.
  • Manage the company's day-to-day operations, ensuring effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Oversee key departments such as technology development, production, project execution/after-sales services, sales, marketing and finance.
  • Identify and exploit market opportunities.
  • Establish strategic partnerships and develop relationships with key industry players.
  • Oversee financial planning, including budgets, forecasts and financial reporting.
  • Ensure the profitability and financial viability of the company.
  • Oversee the development and launch of new products and technologies to maintain competitive advantage and meet anticipated market needs.
  • Recruit, develop and retain a high-performance management team.
  • Promote a positive and motivating corporate culture.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Maintain high standards of corporate governance.

Skills and qualifications :

  • University degree in business administration, engineering, finance or related field. MBA or post-graduate degree desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in business management, with at least 5 years in a senior management position, ideally in the renewable energy sector.
  • Proven experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams in a regulated technical environment.
  • Ability to transition a company from the start-up phase to growth in an international business context.
  • In-depth knowledge of renewable energy technologies, particularly in distributed mode, an asset.
  • Strong financial skills with the ability to interpret and manage financial statements.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire and motivate teams.
  • Strategic vision with a results orientation.
  • Proficiency in computer tools and business management software.
  • Bilingualism (French and English).
